Lately i've been wondering what it means to be a Christian. Does it mean believing the right stuff? Does it mean doing the right things? What exactly does it mean to be a Christian?
The term Christian isn't something we've made up to call ourselves. It was first used during the first century, referring to the followers of The Way. The term Christian means, 'Little CHRIST', and that's what we ought to be. Being a christian means letting go of you, and inviting the Risen Christ to take over. For some, that means selling everything and giving it to the poor. For others, it means leaving your family. Following Jesus looks different for all.
No matter what we do in GOD's name, only one thing matters-that we do it in love. Love ties everything together. Love is the ending of the story of GOD. Without love, everything is meaningless.
Love is patient. Love is kind. Love is not jealous. Love doesn't keep track of sins, nor does it point out faults. Love hopes for the best. Above all, love never fails.
